What types of payments do you accept?

Answer: We currently accept cash, check, money order, electronic funds transfer, and cashier’s checks. You can pay with Visa or MasterCard. However, there is a 3.5% convenience fee. Click here for our credit card form.

Why don't you have receipts at all of your stations?

Answer: We don’t offer receipts at all of our locations because we don’t accept cash at all locations. Our fleet programs are designed to minimize the amount of reconciliation that receipts create.

Why don't you take cash?

Answer: We don’t take cash at all of our sites because most of them are unmanned locations. Accepting cash leads to more time spent by drivers getting fuel.

Why are fuel prices lower at the retail stations compared to yours?

Answer: Our prices are not always higher. Much like the stock market, prices in the oil industry change daily. Retail stations hold inventory therefore they stablize price decreases and increases. Our prices float with the market providing our customers with the current market rate all of the time. For example, If the price of fuel drops .10 cents today our customers would capture that savings.

Answer: We currently only offer bio-diesel to fleet customers at our South El Monte location.

We provide high quality Ultra Low Sulfur Diesel, Red Dye (Tax-Exempt) Diesel, 87 unleaded, 89 midgrade, 91 premium, and race fuel. Please see our site locator for availability at specific locations.

I received an error message on the card reader, "DO NOT HONOR". What does it mean?

Answer: If you receive this error your card has been placed on hold. Please call our customer service department at (626) 258-4107.

What is the difference between Red Dyed Diesel and Ultra Low Sulfur Diesel?

Answer: There is no performance difference between Dyed Ultra-Low Sulfur Diesel and Ultra-Low Sulfur Diesel. The only difference is the red dye indicates to authorities such as the CHP the fuel is tax-exempt and for off-road, non-taxable use only.

Why are your credit terms Net 10?

Answer: This is a fleet card industry standard to help companies catch potential fraud quickly. Furthermore, it breaks payments down to smaller and more manageable amounts.

I'm receiving "Request in Progress" when I swipe my card. What does this mean?

Answer: "Request in Progress" means that you swiped your card too many times and our site controller is trying to process multiple authorizations for the same card. Simply give the computer a minute or so to catch up without swiping your card. After approximately 1 minute, swipe the card again and follow the prompts.

Can I get Red Dyed Diesel with my card that is coded for Diesel?

Answer: No you cannot, because Diesel and Red-Dyed diesel are two different products. If you would like to purchase Red Dyed diesel please call us at (626) 258-4107 to order a separate card.

What is the ECF fee on my invoice?

Due to continued rising costs to train, educate, and comply with Federal, State, and Local Government regulations for the handling of petroleum products, we find it necessary to pass on a nominal Environmental Compliance Fee to our customers. Compliance of these regulations includes, but is not limited to, costs and fees associated with training and education, insurance, licenses and permits, tank monitoring and testing, and engineering plans involved with the handling of petroleum products for the following:

Does DeWitt Petroleum pick-up waste oil?

Unfortunately we are unable to pick up waste oil, due to State and Federal transporation restriction. If you need a waste oil pick-up, call a certified, licensed Hazardous Waste disposal company such as: Swift Oil (626) 966-7224 or Asbury Environmental (310) 886-1810
