Update contact database with all customer contacts, requests, and general customer information. Send daily quotes to current and prospective customers. Receives and processes orders from customers. Solicits sale of new or additional services from current customer base. Addresses customer complaints concerning products, services, and pricing. Prepare and post customer payments to Accounts Receivable. Prepare and audit daily warehouse COD collections from the previous day. Prepare payback payment application and reconciliation. Communicate with customer by telephone and mail in attempt to determine reason for overdue payment, reviewing terms of sales, service, or credit contract. Record information about financial status of customer and status of collection efforts. Determine when an account’s service is discontinued and initiate change in status. Maintain and update credit files when required. Notify customer by mail, telephone, or in person of acceptance or rejection of credit application. Assist with monthly closing Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned. Qualifications: 5 years of accounting experience, at least 2 years’ experience in commercial collections. Knowledge of standard collection law, policies, procedures and regulations. Must possess solid working knowledge of Microsoft, Excel and Accounting software programs. Must be flexible, team player, who possesses a strong desire to learn. Ability to understand and interpret customer invoices, statements and other requests for payments. Ability to work well under pressure and report to different levels of management. Excellent communication skills.
